ProCare Solution is a start up company based out of Houston, Texas. They offer a patent-pending business process to reduce the cost of health care coverage for employers, increase health club membership, and, most importantly, increase wellness and quality of life for employees of participating business organizations.

Concentra Web Solutions architected the infrastructure of the ProCare web site and built out all functionality on the public site, the intranet used by employees of ProCare, and the extranet used by health clubs, businesses, and member employees.

The system, built on the CodeIgniter Framework utilizes the web industry standard MVC (Model View Controller) architecture.

What in the World is MVC?

MVC is a web design and development pattern which ensures that our clients will receive a site that is not only aesthetically beautiful, but also technically sound. It allows our customers the benefit of easily (meaning cost-effectively) add on to their site over time without having to rebuild the entire web site. It also means that much of the code can be used repeatedly keeping the footprint of the website small to enhance load times for end users of the web site.

Concentra Web Solutions custom developed specialized HTML and CSS based graphs for ProCare Solutions. The graphs help potential customers estimate their cost savings usin the patent-pending ProCare Solutions business methodology.

One of the goals of the ProCare Solution web site was to ensure fast page load times for the site's end users. Rather than implementing a Flash based system, the HTML/CSS version is purely text based, that is, there are no requirements for the end user to have any plugins and no need for them to wait to download a hefty flash file to use the tool and to estimate their cost savings.
